Amerigroup has more than 30 years of experience coordinating care with state-sponsored programs through our affiliated plans, and we want to bring that experience to MississippiCAN and Mississippi communities.
We are building relationships with local partners, asking questions, and actively listening to understand local needs. We know that together, we can make a difference.
Expecting more
The MississippiCAN and CHIP programs are about more than healthcare—and so are we. Our collaborative approach fuels program-specific solutions and allows us to deliver results that address the priorities of our state partners and meet the needs of communities. Rooted in a local model and our belief in the power of people working together, we know a healthier future is possible.
Since 2020 we have been partnering with dozens of organizations across the state, focused on expanding services and programs for important health issues like food insecurity, diabetes, childhood obesity, and employment skills. By developing these relationships, we listen and learn how we can best support the important work already being done—and together have an even greater impact in communities. We're excited to expand our work even further in 2022.

- $2,750,000 in community collaborations
- 13 active grants through our Foundation
- $8.7M in low-incoming housing investments resulting in 620 housing units
- $9,306 in associate donations, matches, and 140 volunteer hours
